My girlfriend and I decided to give the 'Tones a proper send-off - and as the band will stay on the island for their farewell tout, we'll have to come over, which means a holiday in the sun... London would be the obvious destination, but the London gig conincides with a friends' wedding (my postponement requests were unfruitful . So I'm looking for a nice location where we could see the Bluetones and spend one or two extra days - any suggestions would be welcome... (as from what I saw, Cardiff, Liverpool or Manchester don't seem too bad choices... and Brighton wouldn't be too far away from home

Manchester sounds like a good choice to me. Weekend, normally gets a good crowd at a normal tour gig so should be even better on this one, nice city too.

Yes, Liverpool would be a bit close, you're right. Anyway, thanks for the suggestion!

Beware Blitz' twisted sense of humour, Mr earlybird. Manchester is in LANCASHIRE, so is full of utter scum and vermin.
Avoid!

I don't know how ticket sales are going but I can't book all mine in one go so gave concentrated on the ones I think are mostly likely to sell out first: Manchester, Glasgow, London, Leeds and Birmingham.

Saturday 10th September - Club Academy, Manchester This is the smallest of the 4, only about 300 capacity by the look of it... how long until we can get them bumped back up? Last few academy gigs have always been in 2, and this is a Saturday night! Job done, up to 2. Now if only they could get into 1 again...
