I'm on 10/11... 10 if you go by the strict rules, but as it was MTTS I think it should count as 11. Bearing in mind that there are many new artists who have no intent to release their material on albums, perhaps we should modify the rules as follows: A "gig" is a performance by a band that performs original material with the intention of releasing said material into the public domain. The only acceptable exceptions are established artists performing concerts consisting of cover versions. Thus tribute/amateur pub bands cannot be counted. In order to count a performance as a gig, you must have watched the band play at least 3 songs. A day at a festival = 1 gig, Any other rule suggestions?

My mate Doug has been attempting to count Pulp's legendary performance at Glastonbury in 1995 ever since we went, despite the fact that all he was was a couple of lights when I pulled him upright (ooer) before he passed out again. He is beginning to recognise that perhaps he should knock this off his list!

33 for me so far this year if i count each day at download and sonisphere as one gig. will just scrape to 50 by the end of the year, i reckon - impending move is gonna muck up my september schedule, i just know it How many of these are cover/tribute/pub bands? We require details! well you aint getting them. mainly because i cant be arsed to type out the list at this time. only one is a tribute band - UK G & R, seen them 3 times this year.

if you ever answered your phone when he rings, he'd probably tell you quite! I think we should all bombard him with prank calls when he gets this new phone/number through his new employer.

Sadly you are deducted all 3 UK G&R gigs, plus an extra 10 for each of the dishonestly claimed concerts. (33 - 3) - (10 x 3) = ?

No. I realised that ultra-pedantic twats might suggest that
33 - 3 - (10 x 3) = ?
had two potential answers i.e. 0 or 60. Hence I added the second set of brackets.
Did you accidentally iron your face?

I stopped keeping lists of gigs years ago and its made me lose count of how many times i've seen most bands. At a guess i'd say i've been to 10-15 this year.
The ones i can remember off the top of my head are: Manic Street Preachers - Brixton Academy 21/1/11 Manic Street Preachers - Brixton Academy 22/1/11 Chas and Dave - Wyllyots Theatre, Potters Bar 3/3/11 Ska's Greatest Hits tour(The Beat and Neville Staple) - St Albans Arena 16/4/11 Chas and Dave - 100 Club 15/5/11 Suede - Brixton Academy 19/5/11 Suede - Brixton Academy 21/5/11 Pulp - Hyde Park 3/7/11 Beady Eye - Somerset House 12/7/11 Roger Daltrey - Guilfest festival 15/7/11 Neville Staple - Guilfest festival 16/7/11 Public Image Ltd. - Guilfest festival 17/7/11

LMM is highly amused by someone on a certain internet forum being persistent in trying to bait me given that he blanked me when he saw me in real-life....i shall from now on leave him alone under his bridge. isnt September going to be FUN! Note that in order to make a statement like this you need to have won any previous argument, rather than being consistently made to look stupid. As for being "alone", you might want to consider why you are the most reliably ignored forumite (both on the forum and in real life, if you know what that is), and the only person in history to be banned from The Bluetones' dressing room.

To get banned you have to be of such low moral fibre that you bitch about people where they can't see you, rather than in a shared domain. Rather pathetic and cowardly really.
