Alright alright... so no one cares about other music right now and it's all reminiscing about the wonderful Bluetones... but Bluetones gigs have also brought us some other music. Over the years they've had some great supports, I know there's quite a chunk of my CD collection made up of bands connected to the 'tones, that I never would have heard of if it wasn't for them. Some which I managed to see supporting, some which were from before I started going to gigs, but still got into afterwards because of everyone going on about them.
Which have been everyone's favourites?

I have never liked any of the 'tones support but I did enjoy both of Mark's solo support acts The Mighty Stef and Our Little Secrets

Geneva would have to be one of my favourites That's one I'd only heard of because of you going on about them! When browsing the sale section in a local CD shop, seeing Further for about £2 and thinking "Jo keeps going on about them, maybe I should see what they're like..." It was a good decision, lovely little album. Married To The Sea do get a little extra love from me because I remember when they first supported Mark... great gig, loved them from the first song they played (although I think my first thought was impressive beards).

Easyworld were pretty decent and I'm sure Mover had some good tunes as well.

The Crescent when they supported. Also i never saw them support the Bluetones but Jabs said Leaves supported them so they would've been 1 of the best.
I saw another band support them once in Oxford and never heard of them again. Sky Parade or something like that.

Leaves were support at the first ever gig I went to back in 2001.
Sky Parade did one tour support and then yeah never really heard anything from them after that, still occasionally listen to the album though.

I quite liked The Hot Puppies and Easyworld were really good. There was an earlier support band that I can't remember the name of that sounded a little bit like Hard-Fi that I quite liked but I'd need to find the EP to tell you what their name was...

Also like The Hot Puppies, both albums were mostly good, but they were better live than on record. Never actually saw them support the Tones mind you I saw them at The Camden Crawl one year.

I love Married to the Sea, hoping they will release some more stuff/go on tour again soon. So really glad to have found out about them, wouldn't've if it wasn't for the Bluetones!
Also liked the Hot Puppies, got one of their albums after seeing them supporting the Bluetones. I seem to remember thinking Easyworld were quite good when I saw them in Bristol but never bought anything.

i'm not really into getting to venue early enough for support band, however after initially not liking mtts they won me over, nice fellas too,and archie bronson outfit were ok! the worst two for me were cheeky cheeky and the nosebleeds (now the cheek i believe) and mistys big adventure with the weird clown!
