Some people don't seem too fond on this due to all the queuing and waiting around, but I've always enjoyed it as I've not been too precious about seeing the one or two acts that everyone's heard of in a venue the size of my living room (and I seem to like unfashionable bands). If there's a massive queue I just move to a different venue... Anyway point is.. I have tickets this year, is anyone else going? As I haven't heard of half of them can people recommend bands for me? Line up is thecamdencrawl.com/news/article/full-line-upTa very much. P.S. I have heard of The Lemonheads and Razorshite

blimey cracking lineup - id say nearly half of them have been played on Marc riley's show if not in as a session band! id recommend - miles kane, british sea power, villagers, sarabeth tucek, beth jeans houghton, piney gir, treetop flyers (saw them at a gig a fortnight ago, bit neil young/crazy horse-ey), peggy sue, young legionnaire (saw them at a gig a few weeks ago too, guys from 3 other bigger bands in an indie "supergroup", rocks out a fair bit) - lots to choose from! if i didnt have so much else on gig-wise at the mo id be very tempted to go along myself.

Thanks for the suggestions.. so far I've tried a bit of Villagers and felt a bit bored after a couple of tracks. Never really been a British Sea Power fan, but never given them much of a go so will have another listen.
I'll put some more research in and give my verdicts. Sounds like it's a very good line up for you, I'd make the effort, it's pretty cheap after all!

i cant , ive already got 6 gigs that'll see me doing about 700 miles this month, so thats a ton of fuel to fork out for - plus ive got to babysit mum's cat that weekend! too little time & money - still there's worse problems to have than too many gigs to go to!

Hmmm, well now tried out Treetop Flyers who were kind of dull country-ish and Young Legionnaire who were OK, but did go a bit emo in places... not too fussed by either really.

Good to see you Mr North, and many thanks for the tickets Mr Northmore!
Sorry to be old and obvious, but the best two acts we saw were Killing Joke and The Lemonheads. I was surprised by how much I enjoyed The Guillemots, and SCUM were good too, the band not Man U who were laughable against Arsenal. Come on Chelsea!

Yes it was a pleasure as ever John.
I had an amazing time, the best Crawl I've been to. Great weather.. not a single queue in sight and loads of great bands. I found all of the following rather entertaining: The Lemonheads, Saint Etienne, Team Ghost, The Phantom Band, Veronica Falls, Mirrors, Banjo Or Freakout, 2:54, The History Of Apple Pie and Dinosaur Pile Up.
I thought that The Guillemots were dire, but I saw a different set to you John, so maybe they became good since starting the day off sounding like a sort of dull very wet David Gray tribute band?

Perhaps they were practising for a wedding? They were surprisingly noisy and reminded me most of the Flaming Lips, although that was probably the long straggly beard. As for the bassist, suckee fie dolla?
