Hi All.
Does any one know how to get the right permission to get a nice camera into a gig?
I know that in the past I've even had my crappy little point and shoot taken away at some gigs.
As this might be the last time we get to see our boys playing, I'd like to be able to get some good shots, of them, and you lot.
Chris.

i dont know...i think now that everyone has camera on their mobiles, it'd be fighting a losing battle to try and confiscate any camera and ive never seen any taken away from anyone at any gig!

If you read the terms and conditions on the ticket/when buying it does normally say no professional cameras, but as most people don't take an SLR to a gig without permission you don't see them get taken away.
Best way would probably be send a message to one of the band/venue asking if you could have a photo pass.
I've never had my normal camera taken away though... those southern venues must be a bit stricter!

I once saw a girl burst into tears at the Wedgewood Rooms when a security twat took her camera away at a Feeder gig.
He gave it back afterwards, but only because he felt guilty about raping her.

Hi Blitz, this is a great advice, because some times it is hard to get credentials, but you can still attend a concert by your own. The camera was certainly a problem. Thanks for the question and for the answer!!!!

I guess there will be a DVD documenting the farewell tour.

That would require a degree of common sense and a little pre-planning.
So guess again!
