It seems David Ford (him out of Easyworld) has written a book, and at the end of April/May is doing a tour to go with it. Sounds like it's going to be the most interesting gig I've seen for a while: DAVID FORD presents
‘How to Nearly Make it in the Music Industry’
An evening of music, conversation and prosaic reminiscence with David Ford, one of music’s easiest-kept secrets
warning – may contain strong language & unrestrained self-loathing _______________
Alongside the publication of his book ‘I Choose This – (how to nearly make it in the music industry)’ David Ford will be touring the UK in late April and early May.
This tour will see David playing songs from his entire 10 year, 5 album and never been on Later career.
From the earliest ‘easyworld’ songs through to brand new compositions, David will be singing, reading from his book, chatting with the audience and placing his, and maybe your, past 10 years into some sort of context, whilst telling stories about the tunes and where, how and why they were written, recorded and performed.
The show will consist of two, approximately, one hour sets and the venues have all been chosen to try to ensure an intimate, conversational and friendly atmosphere.
The book will be, initially, only available at these shows along with a special commemorative CD.Tour venues here. Who knows, maybe there'll even be a bit of reminiscing about the 'tones...

Should I know who David Ford is? Probably not, he was in a support band from before you were around here. The others should though.

This was a great gig/book reading... looking forward to seeing what the rest of the book has to say now. Imagine it's going to be very interesting to just get a bit more insight on how the music industry works (or doesn't work).
He's one of the few people I've seen whose stage presence can rival Mark's.

I'll be on holiday for most of those gigs. Shame. Seems he's doing another gig/book reading in Hyde next Friday!
